Free Freedom 250 Mobile Museum Coming to Chennault October 21–24

America’s story is rolling into Monroe—and your family is invited.

The Chennault Aviation & Military Museum will host the Freedom 250 Mobile Museum October 21–24, 2026, with the traveling exhibit open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. each day. Admission is free.

As the nation marks 250 years of American independence, this four-day visit offers students and families in Northeast Louisiana an opportunity to explore our country’s beginnings together, right here in Monroe.

Step Into America’s Story

The Freedom 250 Mobile Museum brings the story of America’s founding to communities through interactive exhibits. It invites visitors to explore the people, ideas, and events behind the fight for independence.

For families, it is an opportunity to turn a history lesson into a shared experience. Bring your questions, follow your student’s curiosity, and start a conversation about how the nation began—and what that history means today.

A Special Invitation to Students and Families

We invite local schools to share this free opportunity with their students and families. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, and homeschool families are welcome to make the mobile museum part of their October plans.

Visit after school during the Wednesday–Friday stops, or plan a family outing for Saturday, October 24, when the exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
